Mary dauterman


Mary Dauterman is a director and multidisciplinary artist.

She is passionate about making films as beautiful as they are hilarious while maintaining her oddball, graphic style. Prior to directing, Mary worked as an art director at Droga5, Wieden Kennedy, and CP+B. Alongside film Mary continues to work in a variety of mediums, creating web experiences, inventing strange products, and writing and illustrating books (What Are We Even Doing With Our Lives, Harper Collins 2017 & Dirty Library, Hachette, 2014). Her various work has been recognized by The New York Times, NPR, The Webbies, The Cannes Lions, Booooooom, Vice, CNN, Nitehawk Shorts, and No Budge.

Mary is originally from Texas, attended the University of Texas in Austin, and now lives in Brooklyn, NY.
